During June 5 and 6, at the Net Zero Tech decarbonization fair in Barcelona, Inael will be introducing its sustainable and efficient solution towards an SF6-free future.
The new switchgear uses a technology based on pure air and the breaking is performed with vacuum. This essential element for the development of life is considered one of the best gases to avoid the release of CO2 into the atmosphere and as an insulation element of the high voltage switchgear to prevent pressure variations, density and humidity affect unfavorably and in an uncontrolled manner the behavior of traditional solid insulation, reducing the risk of leaks or explosions and avoiding any contamination of the solid insulation.
Inael’s new efficient and respectful alternative is insensitive to environmental variations and offers two types of solutions: The modular system, where the modules can be combined in parallel, allowing the appropriate combination to the needs of each client. And the compact system, where the modular or compact switchgear can be extendable on both sides.
E- Cabinel has innovative high voltage switches. Our new technology cannot be considered pressure equipment, due to its low filling pressure, which leads to the absence of maintenance and complicated periodic reviews.
The project represents an important step towards the supply of increasingly sustainable electrical networks, since the insulation solution with pure air, combined with solid insulation, for 24kV and 36 KV from Inael has the same size, security and reliability than traditional SF6 solutions. The installation of E-Cabinel switchgear in existing or new secondary substations will contribute to minimizing their global warming potential, while making the operation and maintenance of the switchgear safer for personnel, and any Cabinel switchgear can be replaced with SF6 switchgear with the same characteristics and functionalities that E-Cabinel.
